Philosophy of Education

    From an early age, we spend most of our time at school.  In fact, most of my childhood memories take place at school and a majority of the happier moments takes place in the art room.  My goal is to make the time spent at school an enjoyable learning experience.  I want to share my creative abilities and love of art with every student that walks into the classroom. 

     I have always felt a great appreciation for the teachers in my life that go the extra mile; the teachers who come into class with a smile and are always willing to help.  Those are the teachers who make me realize that I can do anything.  I teach so I can inspire students to create goals and achieve them.

 

CREATIVITY Art is all around us.  I promote creativity through well-developed lesson plans which highlight a student’s ability to think and develop as an artist.  As an art teacher, I encourage creativity as a means for building higher order thinking skills.  Analyzing, evaluating, and creating allow the students to make educated decisions across disciplines and promote life-long learning.
